At the beginning of the pandemic I made a promise to myself: My Foundation would not close any of our services. I knew more people than ever were going to need us.

That proved to be true. Since the onset of the pandemic we have served over 1.1 million meals. It’s an immense achievement which helped keep the homeless and vulnerable from going hungry.

Indeed, we have expanded our fleet of food vans – now serving meals from fourteen locations across Sydney. Also, we have opened two new free restaurants for the hungry.

It’s been a monumental effort, especially when considered in light of the health precautions needed to keep everyone safe. So I am immensely proud of my whole team – my staff and our dedicated volunteers. Of course I’m enormously grateful to our donors too. Without their generosity our efforts wouldn’t have been possible.

I foresee demand for our food services continuing to grow throughout 2022. As you might expect, we are determined to meet the need.
