By donating food you can help us feed the homelss and hungry. Running a food drive is a great way to help, so we encourage you to collect non-perishable food items and supermarket gift cards.
What we do and don’t need
We have a special duty of care to our guests, because many of them suffer chronic health conditions. So we have a healthy eating policy and we comply with international food safety standards. This means we can only accept certain food donations.

Items we can’t accept
We are fully accredited with a HACCP certification (Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points), recognised internationally as the best method of food risk management, so we cannot accept the following items under any circumstances.
- No cooked food (including Christmas ham & turkey)
- No raw food
- No fresh fruit & vegetables
- No bread, pastry & cakes
- No cups, plates & other kitchenware
- No cleaning chemicals
- No used clothes & bedding
- No towels
- No appliances, homeware & furniture
- No items in glass jars
- No refrigerated goods
- No expired & out of date items
- No items that are damaged
