Today: NSW Governor to meet rough sleepers

by Team Bill 14 Nov 2019
Today will see a rare Vice Regal visit to the homeless charity The Rev. Bill Crews Foundation. The Honourable Margaret Beazley AO QC, Governor of New South Wales will inspect the work of Rev. Bill Crews and his team who tirelessly support the homeless and needy of Sydney.

Indeed Her Excellency will meet some of Sydney‘s poorest residents, including some of the City’s rough sleepers who’ve come to rely on The Rev. Bill Crews Foundation for meals and support.

Her Excellency will tour the grounds of The Rev. Bill Crews Foundation in Ashfield, viewing the various services for the homeless and needy. She will visit the famous Loaves & Fishes Free Restaurant, as well as the free medical clinic for the homeless.

“It is an honour to have the New South Wales Governor visit us here at The Rev. Bill Crews Foundation. Indeed, it’s an affirmation of the work we do and an acknowledgement of the tens of thousands of Sydneysiders who actively support us“, said Rev. Bill Crews.

Her Excellency will meet the needy who frequent The Rev. Bill Crews Foundation, as well as the volunteers who help care for them.
